How Many Devices Can One Wireless Router Handle?
I'm at my wit's end! Just got a new router (Linksys 4500). Somehow I was able to set it up with my modem and desktop computer. And got 3 wireless laptops to connect to it. Phweww!! So now I'm trying to get the Xbox Live to connect to the new router (it worked fine before with our old router) and I just can't do it. My iphone does connect to a linksys WRT54G router, but does not find the server. I cannot receive my emails and cannot open any internet page. I have disable all security settings, my firmware is upgraded, I have correctly rebooted the router and I can't still get this problem solved! I can't connect any different electronic devise to internet. The Default Gateway is the IP address of the router. By default the Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 It must be something else. I tried to reinstall Linksys' newest firmware (wrt54gv2_2.04.4_US_code.exe ---> self-executable), but it just won't upload for the same reasons as above. It seems like it connects to the router when I type in the username and passwod, but when it wants to upload the firmare it gives a message that it can't connect. If you can provide me with a tutorial, or a link of where one already exist, that would be great.
